WINE Tasting on the isle of wight

Our priority is to make tasting fun, not stiff & intimidating. We can take your ideas, likes or dislikes & turn them into a whole range of tasting experiences for any occasion. We’ve hosted “snog, marry, avoid” tastings for hen dos, weaned a Burgundy fanatic onto lighter reds of the world & showed a group of pinot-blush addicts that great rose can be dry no matter what the colour.

Your Place
We can create custom wine tastings for any event or location. We’ve hosted a rose to red tasting for 60 members at The Royal Solent Yacht Club, organised Wine Call My Bluff for parents and trustees at Ryde School, trained hospitality teams in wine service and sales, and managed numerous team building tastings for businesses.

Private Tastings at Our Place…

Tasting of the Day
Five wines with a common theme served in 50ml measures over an hour. We can accommodate from 4 - 14 guests at £25 per-person (parties of two are welcome at £50pp) & will suggest themes based on your interests or just what we happen to have open that day.

Interactive
This is a more competitive, fun style of tasting. Nine wines served blind in three rounds with a guessing or scoring element. Can you put the wines in price order? Can you tell which is French or not French? Can you tell a sauvignon from a chardonnay? There are no right answers, just a good laugh as we reveal the wines & winning team. From 8 to 24 guests at £35 to £45 per-person.

Your Choice
A flexible guided tasting for 8-24 guests of as many or as few wines as you’d like to try. You only pay for the wines opened, not the tasting itself. Bottles range from £20 - £120 so we can work to any budget. You can also take any remaining wine home.

Snacks
Nuts and olives - £5 per-guest
Cheese, charcuterie & breads - £15 per-guest

Trade
Are you a hospitality professional working on the Isle of Wight? You have an open invite to our nightly Residents’ tasting with no charge. We can show you how to present wines in a fun, knowledgeable way that engages your guests and encourages them to try wines other than the usual grigio-sauvignon-Provence-malbec suspects.
